Creating and exploring Census 2021 custom datasets – September

26th September 2023, 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm

Online- Free

Join this practical 60 minute session online in Zoom to learn how to select, download and analyse Census 2021 data.

We will first demo how to use the Office for National Statistics (ONS) ‘create a custom dataset’ tool and then support you as you create and download your own.

This might include e.g. age, ethnic group and / or language spoken alongside health, disability or hours of unpaid care. You might alternatively be interested in housing, education or employment data alongside specific demographics, and focussing on London, a specific borough or smaller geography. The choice is yours!

We will then show you how to analyse your downloaded Excel spreadsheet – creating a simple pivot table and chart to visualise the data and answer the questions you may have been exploring, with time for you to do this yourselves with the Superhigways team on hand to help.

Follow up one to one support will also be provided.
